As a teenager, I was very preoccupied with my appearance. At that time, I believed that I was not good looking; I felt that I could make myself beautiful with the right knowledge and product. I spent most of my time (and any money I had) trying to look perfect.
I don’t remember being proud of my appearance as a teen…my hair was the aspect of my appearance that I liked the least. I was born with VERY dry, course, tightly curled hair. It was extremely difficult to straighten or style.
