Where did you go to college and why?

Initially, I attended College at Old Westbury on Long Island because it was the only college that I could get into after high school. I attended one semester, partied my brains out, and then dropped out.

After I retired from the navy, I attended Tidewater Community college because I applied to Old Dominion University, but was declined admission because of my abysmal high school grades.

After I moved to North Carolina, I attended to Gardner-Webb university because the program allowed me to continue teaching while I earned my degree.

  1. I attended Millersville University in Millersville, PA because I had a baby and the college was close to my parents’ house. My mom watched my son while I attended classes. What a blessing! I got my undergrad degree there, then my masters at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA, because they had a hands-on, rigorous Masters in Science Education program. Great memories!
